There are so many different queries that we hear day to day, and many of you are wondering the exact same things! So we have put together just a few of the most common questions we are faced with on a regular basis to help out.

I'M A TENANT - SHOULD I ARRANGE A PROFESSIONAL END OF TENANCY CLEAN?

Initially, our best advice would be to speak to your Landlord or Agent and find out what their expectations are. Sometimes, your tenancy agreement will state that you have to provide an invoice for a professional clean, and by not doing so you could be at risk of losing some of your deposit towards this.

These services are extremely flexible and we pride ourselves on our ability to build bespoke packages to suit the individual. This means that if you want to clean the property yourself but you just can't stand kitchen cleaning for instance, we can provide a free, no obligation quote which is tailored to perfectly fit your requirements.

I'M THINKING OF HAVING MY CARPETS CLEANED - HOW LONG DO THEY TAKE TO DRY?

The short answer is that it varies and is dependent on the time of year, the layout of your home, how warm it is, how well-ventilated it is... 

As a general rule, our high-powered industrial extraction system is built for faster drying than your average RugDoctor or Vax domestic machines, so usually you can expect a dry carpet in around 1 - 2 hours of our visit. 

I'M CONSIDERING A ROUTINE CLEAN - HOW DO I KNOW HOW LONG I WILL NEED AND HOW OFTEN?

Our aim at Prestige is to enable client-led services. We know you come to us because we are the experts in our field, but factors like your budget and your lifestyle will of course come into this decision making process. 

We prefer to meet prospective routine clients prior to their first appointment to discuss needs, expectations, and priorities before providing a realistic plan of action - this also enables us to get to know each other a little better before intruding on your home on a regular basis.


Currently, our most common set up for routine cleaning is 1.5 to 2 hours on a weekly basis, but we also have some lovely clients who just need 1 hour a fortnight, or who need 3 to 4 hours twice weekly - it really is a case of matching our service up to your needs on a case by case basis. 

HOW CAN I MAKE PAYMENT?

We are constantly striving to ensure that we are accessible and up to date as far as possible with all areas of our business, so we have made sure that this extends to payment options too. We are able to take payment via any of the following;

DO YOU COVER MY AREA?

Being based in Clacton-on-Sea, Prestige is perfectly positioned to cover Essex, Suffolk and Tendring areas. In some cases, our pricing may have to reflect the distance however this generally is avoided by our ultra-efficient booking system, developed to further reduce our carbon footprint! As an innovative and constantly developing business we are constantly expanding, so if you are unsure please just call and check!

CAN I TRUST PRESTIGE CLEANING TO KEEP MY IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT TO A MINIMUM?

One of our biggest concerns and inspirations when developing the core values behind Prestige Cleaning was surrounding the way in which many other businesses in the industry have little or no policy regarding waste, reusable/recyclable materials, and harsh chemical use. This is why, from day one, we have worked tirelessly to ensure that we are doing our bit to improve on the materials and substances we choose based on these factors. 

​We choose eco-friendly chemical solutions to ensure that our choice does not negatively impact you, your home, or the world around us.

We believe in recycling! All of the packaging on our resources is recyclable and we make sure that this is followed day to day.

We rely on heat as opposed to harsh chemicals to clean both ovens and carpets/upholstery, so our cleaning agents are not as harmful to the environment or to you as many of our competitors.

As far as possible, we make sure that all of our jobs are carried out with reusable cloths and tools, and have an intensive sanitisation process to ensure that there is no risk of cross-contamination. When these items reach the end of their lives, we ensure that they are not simply thrown in the bin, but reused or recycled so that they don't end up in landfill. 

By ensuring that we follow these golden rules, we know that we can rest assured that we are supporting our community and building our business without the harmful impacts on the people or world around us. 

WHAT OTHER ASSURANCES CAN YOU GIVE ME?

We understand that, for many of our clients, we are being trusted to care for their most expensive and prized possessions. After all, your house or your car are likely some of your most valuable and loved items! 

That's why as a business, we will not only guarantee you an unbelievably thorough and incredible value service, but we also make commitments to ensuring that we have the correct insurances and DBS checks across the board. 

*no-quibble guarantee - cleans are always completed to the instruction of the client and therefore we cannot be liable for cleanliness of elements that we have not been instructed to attend to. We will return free of charge under guarantee on the rare occasion that an item we cleaned is missed, we will return upon sight of documentation so long as this is within the two week period of the job being completed and with the exception of general wear or build up over this time.
